PicSight Smart GigE Cameras - smart camera, fast interface

The PicSight Smart GigE is a full featured smart camera with GigE Vision interface. It offers all the features you expect from a professional industrial camera plus the computing capabilities of its 32bit RISC processor. PicSight Smart GigE cameras can work standalone or as GigE camera with the ability to preprocess and preselect images in order to reduce load on the Network and host computer. This is particularly helpful in multi camera applications. Smart applications can also be used to extend the cameras featureset in order to adapt to specific needs easily. Smart programs can be written in ANSI C/C++ with OpenCV or using MVTec´s Halcon Embedded image processing library. A GenICam based messaging system allows for easy communication with host applications.
The camera is available with 26 different CCD and CMOS sensors with resolutions from VGA up to 5 Mpixel. Monochrome models are available as well as color cameras with optional onboard Bayer decoding.
PicSight Smart GigE cameras have an integrated lens controller and are also available with advanced features such as Power over Ethernet, and a variety of optical filters as options.
The PicSight Smart GigE is fully GigEVision and GeniCam compliant. Thus it works plug and play with all major image processing libraries such as Common Vision Blox or Halcon.
In addition, Leutron Vision offers the free Simplon Software Developer Suite, which contains a GigEVision / GenTL driver and many helpful tools for camera evaluation, testing and deployment, as well as a GeniCam compliant API with comprehensive documentation and a source code generator.
