Working with DSA or ROADMAPPING, the conversion of the linear video signal to a logarithmic signal is an advantage, because the contrast in the darker parts of the image is enhanced. In subtraction mode the visibility of blood vessels behind bones is better.

2,510,080 Interface for 3M Laser film plotter

The kit consists of an interface board which fits into the VIP100XS system and the appropriate software to digitally transmit pictures from any VIP100XS system to the Laser film plotter series of 3M (by RS485 link). This option significantly improves the quality of your exposed X-ray films.

2,510,020 Image storage on PC-Floppy-Disk

Instead of a VME compatible CPU board, a PC compatible Boardset with 4 MB of DRAM, 3 1/2" FDD, HDD, 2 serial ports, 1 parallel port, and a VGA adapter. The system consists of 2 double EURO modules of 8 TE each which fits directly into the VIP100XS rack (Philips Industrial VME-AT System). All the functions of the VIP100XS and the interfacing with X-ray generator and footswitches remain the same. Additionally, it is possible to transfer images from the VIP100XS memory or the harddisk to the local PC-AT memory or harddisk and to store them in TIFF format. These images can be processed by all major desk top publishing software packages (like Pagemaker, Ventura, WINWORD etc.). For the basic operation of image storage and retrieval, no VGA monitor is used. All operations are performed by the VIP100XS and the X-ray monitors. Additionally, the doctor may connect the system off-line to a VGA monitor and to his private keyboard to operate the system directly under WINDOWS or other popular software packages.

With this optional board the VIP100XS equipped with VME-AT system can be connected to every Ethernet network. Thus, images can be sent directly from the surgical room via Ethernet (under NOVELL Network software for instance) to a main server station.

The network software and its installation is not included, please ask.
