Image Display, Threading and Other Functions

Simplon API provides support for system independent display of the acquired image stream on a selected desktop window. The image display can be, if desired, fully automatic or explicitly controlled by the application.

To handle certain asynchronous events, such as waiting for newly acquired images, listening for device events or regular polling of certain feature values, separate threads are necessary. The application can either handle the threading explicitly, or Simplon can control that fully transparently, if the programmer wishes so.
